New Jersey is the least democratic state in America. The state's managerial-class constitution centralized power at the expense of citizens' freedom and participation in the democratic process. It created an institutional breeding ground for political corruption and made the state one of the most consistently corrupt in the nation. And because the state's prosecutors and judges are all political appointees, that corruption is even worse at the county, municipal, and board of education levels.
We say "enough"! The Case of Bob Menendez shows just how ridiculously corrupt politics is in New Jersey. He got caught the last time but was able to use insider politics and special interest money to not only get out of it, but to get re-elected as well. So, here we are again, a few years later, with new allegations that demonstrate how the political class in New Jersey have no remorse. Escaping prosecution the last time only made this face of New Jersey politics even bolder.
Bob Menendez began his political career on the local and county level. Our goal is to expose the next generation of New Jersey politicians on the make. Our concerntration is on two of the more corrupt counties in New Jersey. You can help by reading and sharing StateLine Watchdog. Subscribe now.
